As we can see, the city’s main church, unlike the surroundingĀ  buildings , remains completely intact.

Of course, the reason is not a miracle…but allied pilots used this church to set targets, i.e. first they found the church and then calculated the time to drop the bombs according to height of the plane, speed and target location. And that’s how one of the most beautiful churches in Europe was saved.
